The City of Beloit has an exciting employment opportunity in the Public Works Department as an Equipment Operator-Excavation. This position works in the Water Resources Division of the Public Works Department.The Equipment Operator-Excavator is responsible for the repair and maintenance of the public water supply distribution system, sanitary sewer system and storm sewer system. This position also performs routine maintenance and troubleshooting of the equipment used for their job duties. This position will also assist other work groups with excavation type activities as assigned. Will be subject to an on-call duty schedule for off-hours water resources infrastructure emergencies, including a maximum average response time.Compensation: $25.00/hour plus a $40.00 daily stipend for on-call shifts. Please note that regular on-call availability is a requirement for this role.
