Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Residential Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our residential care community. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of an assigned Community Living Home.
- Ensure services are delivered in accordance with individual support plans, agency policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise, train, schedule, and support residential staff.
- Conduct employee performance evaluations and address personnel matters as needed.
- Coordinate medical appointments, community activities, and supports that promote independence and meaningful life experiences.
- Maintain accurate documentation, program records, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with individuals served, families, support coordinators, and community partners.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and licensing reviews.
- Respond to emergencies and provide leadership during crisis situations.
- Participate in the agency's on-call rotation as scheduled.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and 1 year of experience working directly with persons with disabilities; OR Associate's Degree and 2 years of experience; OR High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of experience working directly with persons with disabilities.
- Experience working under Chapters 6400, 6500, and/or 2380 regulations preferred but not required.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to obtain and maintain all required clearances, certifications, and training requirements.
Experience
- Proven management experience in senior care facilities such as retirement homes or nursing homes with demonstrated leadership skills
- Extensive background in assisted living, home & community care, or group home environments involving individuals with developmental disabilities or memory impairments
- Strong understanding of long-term care operations including budgeting, regulatory compliance, medication management, and resident safety protocols
- Hands-on experience with developing care plans tailored to residents’ unique needs involving dementia or Alzheimer’s care
- Supervisory experience supervising multidisciplinary teams within senior or home care settings
- Knowledge of social work principles combined with financial acumen to manage resources effectively
- Familiarity with best practices in dementia care, medication administration, and resident rights
