Job Description:
The Planning Associate supports production planning and inventory coordination at the Portland Campus of Mark Foods. The role ensures accurate processing orders, maintains ERP data integrity, and provides cross-functional support to enable efficient, safe, and compliant operations. The position reports directly to the Production Planner.
Core Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate processing orders that align with daily and weekly production schedules
- Create and issue internal freezer releases for raw materials entering production
- Initiate releases to third-party offsite storage and coordinate inbound movement with internal Logistics Team
- Generate daily production support documents to ensure smooth operational flow
- Maintain digital records for inventory, traceability, and production data in ERP systems
- Support larger operational initiatives, including NPD and copack projects, as capacity allows
Food Safety and Quality Duties:
- Build and manage digital processing orders that comply with regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready traceability documentation
- Ensure consistent and timely data entry into NAV, Innova, and other ERP systems
- Required Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, and ERP systems
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple teams
- Self-directed work ethic with a proactive approach to problem solving
Education & Experience:
- Highschool diploma required
- Four-year degree preferred, but not required
- Manufacturing or production experience a plus
- Prior experience with production documentation or planning workflows is advantageous
Work Environment:
Work occurs primarily in a temperature-controlled office setting. Production areas may require occasional entry and include cool, wet conditions with loud machinery.
Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
