Litigation Paralegal – Personal Injury (Plaintiff’s Side)

Roth & Roth, LLP is an established Manhattan plaintiff’s firm that has represented injured New Yorkers and their families for more than 25 years in catastrophic injuries, concentrating on Transit/City cases, including, all types of accidents, civil rights and complicated negligence matters. We are hiring a full-time Litigation Paralegal to support our attorneys across every stage of our personal injury caseload. This is an in-person position in our Midtown South office, a short walk from Grand Central Terminal and steps from the 6 train.
What You Will Do
- Work on plaintiff’s personal injury files from intake through resolution, keeping each matter organized, current and deadline-ready.
- Draft, file and put together litigation documents including notices of claim, Article 78s, summonses and complaints, bills of particulars, discovery demands and responses, and motion papers.
- On occasion you will be ask to go to various municipal locations to drop off papers and to visit clients in the hospital who cannot get to the office due to the severity of there injuries.
- Calendar and track court deadlines, statutes of limitations, and case milestones.
- Heavy client contact answering questions and making sure that appointments are known and attended.
- Request, organize and summarize medical records, billing records and other case documents.
- Request and obtain lien information - Medicaid/Medicare/HRA/Workers Comp/ERISA
- Assist with deposition preparation, trial preparation and the assembly of exhibits.
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years prior experience as a litigation paralegal on the plaintiff’s side of personal injury law, with familiarity across all phases of a case.
- Working knowledge of New York civil litigation practice and court procedures, including NYSCEF e-filing.
- Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail.
- Clear written and verbal communication and a client-focused, team-oriented approach.
- Proficiency with case management software and standard office applications.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary is $60,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer health insurance and a 401(k) plan.
Schedule and Location
This is a full-time, in-person role (not hybrid or remote) based in our Midtown South office at 192 Lexington Avenue, within walking distance of Grand Central Terminal and immediately convenient to the 6 train.
