American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an LDRP position requiring a CO or Compact RN license and at least 1 year of L&D experience.

Active CO or Comp act (NLC) RN license required
-
M inimum 1 year of L&D experience required

Must be trained in LDRP and able to function independently in the role
-
M ust be able to triage patients and function as the baby catcher/tr ansition nurse
-
Not required to circulate C-sections or manage post-op GYN patients
-
Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, and AWH ONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring

Must be comfortable titrating drips such as Pit ocin
-
Driver's license copy required for consideration

Provide care to laboring patients, postpartum patients, newborns, and gyn surgical patients

Function as part of a two-nurse shift team, with one nurse serving as charge nurse
-
OB providers maintain a 20-minute response time and are on-call after hours
-
Anesthesia is in house during business hours with a 20-minute on-call response after hours
-
Respiratory therapy support is limited; NICU/peds on-call may attend deliveries in lieu of RT
-
Unit follows AWHONN staffing guidelines as closely as possible for a rural hospital setting

3-day unit-specific orientation provided in addition to general orientation

Scrubs are not provided and there is no specific color requirement

Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Clinicians must be in-state for orientation week, though initial modules may be completed remotely

Candidates who have been directly employed by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility (including CHI or Dignity) within the past year are not eligible
