Gem State Staffing in Pocatello is currently seeking Certified Flaggers / Traffic Control Technicians for highway and road construction projects located on Teton Pass, Wyoming, with the majority of work taking place throughout Eastern Idaho. Pay
· Competitive Pay – DOE (Depending on Experience)
· Per Diem may be available for qualifying assignments
Schedule
· Full-Time
· 8–10 hour shifts
· Hours will vary depending on project needs, weather, and job site requirements
· Overtime may be available
Job Responsibilities
· Direct traffic safely through construction and roadway work zones
· Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices and signage
· Communicate effectively with crew members using radios and hand signals
· Follow all OSHA, DOT, and company safety regulations
· Monitor traffic flow and ensure the safety of motorists, pedestrians, and construction crews
· Perform additional general labor duties as assigned when traffic control is not active
Minimum Qualifications
· Current Flagger Certification (Required)
· Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to various job sites
· Willingness to work on projects located on Teton Pass, Wyoming, and throughout Eastern Idaho
· Ability to stand for extended periods in varying weather conditions
· Strong communication skills and attention to safety
· Dependable attendance and punctuality
· Must be authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
· Previous traffic control or highway construction experience
· Experience working around heavy equipment and road crews
· Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Physical Requirements
· Stand and walk for long periods
· Lift up to 50 pounds as needed
· Work outdoors in changing weather conditions, including heat, wind, rain, and cold
· Maintain awareness of moving traffic and construction equipment at all times
