Job Overview
Courtyard by Marriott Sugar Land / Lake Pointe is looking for a friendly, reliable Front Desk Agent to join our hotel team. We really need someone who enjoys helping guests, communicates well, learns quickly, and can stay calm and professional during a busy shift.
Hotel experience is preferred, but it does not need to be Marriott experience. Experience at any hotel front desk, guest services desk, reservations desk, or similar hospitality role is helpful. The most important things are reliability, good judgment, a positive attitude, and being genuinely friendly with guests and coworkers.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a warm, professional attitude
- Check guests in and out accurately
- Answer phones and assist with reservations or guest questions
- Handle guest requests and concerns with patience and good judgment
- Communicate clearly with housekeeping, maintenance, and management
- Keep the front desk area organized and presentable
- Follow hotel procedures for payments, paperwork, and guest information
- Help create a clean, friendly, and welcoming guest experience
Qualifications
- Hotel front desk or hospitality experience preferred
- Marriott experience is not required
- Must be friendly, reliable, and professional
- Smart, dependable, and able to learn systems quickly
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable using computers and answering phones
- Able to multitask and stay organized during busy periods
- Must be able to work scheduled shifts consistently
- Weekend and holiday availability is helpful
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required
We are looking for someone who will show up, care about the guests, and be a strong part of the team.
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
