Job Overview
Christ the King School is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced full time junior high Math and Science teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.
Our science program focuses on Earth, Life, and Physical Science.
Our Math program focuses on Pre-Algebra A and B, Algebra 1 and Geometry.

Duties
- Create and deliver rigorous, science and math lessons according to the California state standards
- Introduce inquiry-based and hands-on instructional strategies to promote student understanding, critical thinking, and mastery
- Prepare them for high school courses.
- Design curriculum maps and engaging lessons that incorporate differentiated instructional strategies for all learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines, including math and science innovation
- Plan and organize Yearly Science Fair
- Attend and actively support science-related field trips, including preparation and follow-up activities
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives
- Provide continual assessment of student progress, maintain student records and portfolios, and complete assigned paperwork in provided time frames.
Requirements:
- Ability to work with SmartBoard, ipads/tablets, and websites to create and integrate curriculum into everyday lessons
- Ability to work collaboratively with the faculty and the administration and have strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- The ideal candidate must be able to supervise students effectively, both in and out of the classroom, support and follow school procedures, as well as, develop effective classroom procedures and management.
- Ability to develop and foster positive relationships with students, faculty, and parents and strong community building skills are essential.
- Have the willingness to adapt to school schedule changes, special events, and celebration
- To be the 7th grade homeroom teacher
Education & Skills
- Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or a related field required
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience-preferably in middle/junior high level
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Proficiency with educational technology and digital learning tools
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and faith-centered learning environment.
Pay: $56,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
