Overnight Caregiver – Child with Autism
We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and reliable caregiver to provide overnight supervision for a non-verbal child with autism in a private home setting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive overnight supervision and ensure the child's safety at all times.
- Maintain a calm, quiet, and low-stimulation environment.
- Assist with hydration and light breakfast preparation if needed.
- Provide gentle redirection and support during periods of wakefulness.
- Monitor for signs of distress, anxiety, or behavioral changes and communicate concerns to parents.
- Engage in quiet, age-appropriate activities if the child is awake.
- Maintain cleanliness of areas used during the shift.
- Provide parents with a brief summary of the child's sleep, food/fluid intake, and any notable behaviors at the end of each shift.
Qualifications:
- Experience caring for children required.
- Experience working with children with autism or special needs preferred.
- Patient, dependable, and attentive.
- Ability to remain alert and engaged during overnight hours.
Work Environment:
- Private home setting.
- Overnight shifts.
- No housekeeping or medication administration required.
Pay: $21.00 per hour
