JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE: Radio logy Aide

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Provide support to the technical staff in the CT Mobile unit. Under the direction of the CT technologist and according to established policies sand procedures, responsible of ensuring efficient workflow in the CT department.
Duties may include but are not limited to: Transportation of patients, supplies to appropriate areas. Supports medical personal and physician needs during procedures. Follows Corazon Imaging philosophy and core values in the employee daily work.
Corazon Imaging is Mobile CT imaging, focused on doing CCTA outpatient at multiple clinics across Southeast Michigan. Currently we have locations in Berkley, Dearborn, Madison Heights, Sterling Heights, Trenton, Livonia, Waterford. We will work with you on best site to cover open shifts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Escort/Transport patients within the clinic site to and from the diagnostic imaging mobile unit.
2. Interacts/Communicate with clinic site staff in an empathic, pleasant, and business-like manner.
3. Aides technologist in transferring and moving of patients on and off the CT table, Follows universal precautions during patient contact.
4. Start/assist IV's as required for injection of contrast media.
5. May assist and monitor patients in prep holding area in CT holding area as required.
6. Assists in non-technical related duties such as: Transports equipment, transfer exams to appropriate destination, specimens and supplies. Documentation of daily log as required by site. Assist with patient care as needed.
Assist with room turnover. Stock supplies, linen and dispose of soiled linen. Responsible for the cleaning, disinfecting and maintaining the equipment within the department.
7. May assist with ordering supplies as needed.

8. May assist using image transferring software, upload and transfer images to discs for patients.
9. Responsible for proper use and storage of oxygen tanks as applicable.
10. Maintains patient comfort while in the department and during transport. Demonstrates safe, quality patient care.
11. Required to maintain a quiet professional atmosphere and exhibit a professional image through appearance and mannerisms.
12. Capable of providing adequate and prompt information to all through the use of good interpersonal and communication skills. Must be willing to provide assistance to any individual regardless of age or special needs.
13. Must be willing to work independently or assist co-workers and technologist with exams as needed.

STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS

A. Education / Training:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
B. Work Experience:
- Previous experience in patient care related field preferred.
C. Certification. Licensure. Registration:
- Medical Assistant, Tech aide or equivalent preferred
D. Other Qualifications:
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation/ Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers at hire through the
American Heart Association.
Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records and RIS.
Good communication skills.
Working Conditions:
Work is generally performed while standing or sitting in an office environment, with a computer, telephone and copier/fax/scanner. Some lifting of forms, files and small equipment is required.
