Job Summary
Overview
Activity Assistants bring meaningful programming and excitement to the lives of our residents. These individuals work to develop and implement activities and entertainment that will enrich the daily lives of residents. Under the supervision of the Activity Director, Activity Assistants offer a variety of interesting events to engage and connect seniors with our team, each other, and the greater community. The right person for this role enjoys fostering relationships, helping others, and encouraging self-esteem and self-worth.
Key Responsibilities
- Help set up and prepare for activities
- Get to know residents personally
- Maintain attendance at programs and record data in resident insights platform
- Meet with the Activity Director to evaluate activity program effectiveness
- Escort residents to activities
- Provide one-on-one activities to room-bound residents
- Interact and communicate well with residents, family members, and guests
- Maintain a daily routine
- Create a monthly calendar of activities
- Other tasks as requested by supervisor
Qualifications
- Previous experience in activities and memory care in a senior living setting is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
