Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools to uphold health and safety standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables or assembling ingredients under supervision.
- Support the cleaning of kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas to maintain a hygienic workspace.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure timely delivery of clean dishes for service or events.
- Handle waste disposal responsibly by sorting recyclables and managing trash removal according to procedures.
- Aid in setting up stations by providing clean servingware and utensils as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, cleaning chemicals, and equipment operation.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential.
- Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques and food handling safety standards.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy loads or bending.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting culinary operations.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and cleaning supplies is a plus; training will be provided for specific tools and procedures.
