Job Description:
The IT Project Manager Lead/Specialist will oversee technology projects from initial planning through completion, ensuring initiatives remain aligned with business objectives, timelines, budgets, and expected outcomes. The position will manage projects of varying size and complexity, including SAP-related initiatives, system integrations, and data and analytics projects.
The ideal candidate is a strong project leader who can effectively navigate changing priorities, manage ambiguity, communicate with diverse stakeholders, and keep projects moving forward in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage IT projects through the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through implementation and closeout.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Monitor project performance and proactively address risks, issues, scope changes, and potential delays.
- Track project financials and ensure spending remains aligned with approved budgets.
- Lead cross-functional project teams and coordinate activities across technical and business stakeholders.
- Facilitate issue resolution and help remove obstacles that could impact project delivery.
- Utilize Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or other project management methodologies based on project requirements.
- Provide regular project updates and maintain visibility into progress, risks, timelines, and key deliverables.
- Establish project goals, success criteria, performance measures, and stakeholder expectations.
- Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and third-party partners as needed.
- Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes and project management standards.
- Conduct project reviews and lessons-learned sessions to identify opportunities for future improvement.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to project managers and other project team members.
- Support project governance and ensure appropriate processes and controls are followed.
- Assist with complex or challenged projects by developing strategies to improve delivery and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience managing or leading IT projects, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
- Strong experience managing project scope, budgets, schedules, resources, risks, and dependencies.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and work effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
- Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in an environment with changing priorities and evolving requirements.
- Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
Additional Details:
- SAP or S/4HANA project experience is highly preferred.
- Experience with Agile and/or Scrum methodologies is a plus.
- Experience with data, analytics, system integration, or enterprise technology initiatives is preferred.
- PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster, or similar certification is a plus.
- This position requires a strong ability to manage multiple projects or initiatives simultaneously.
- Candidates who can work onsite approximately 2–3 days per week are strongly preferred.
