Boys & Girls Flag Football Coaches

Summary:
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad is now hiring energetic and committed Flag Football Coaches to lead either Boys Varsity, Boys JV, or Girls middle school flag football teams this fall season. This is a great opportunity for individuals who love sports, mentorship, and building a positive, inclusive team culture.
Locations:
Looking for Coaches for the Following Schools:
· Aviara Oaks Middle School
· Calavera Hills Middle School
· Valley Middle School
Schedule:
All Coaches attend each other's Tryouts to help out. Leaders of tryouts will be those assigned to that school everyone else supports:
September 1st Valley Middle School Tryout
- Boys on Upper Field
- Girls on Lower Field
- 2:45pm - 3:50pm Tryout
September 2nd Calavera Hills Middle School Tryout
September 3rd Aviara Oaks Middle School Tryout
Schedule Practices September 8th - 17th
- Monday and Tuesdays 2:45pm - 4:00pm (Aviara Oaks practices at 2:30pm - 4:00pm because they get out of school earlier)
- Thursdays 1:45pm - 3:15pm (Aviara Oaks practices at 1:30pm - 3:00pm because they get out of school earlier)
Schedule Regular Season Games & Practices September 21st - October 15th
- Mondays 2:45pm - 4:00pm
- Tuesdays: 4pm Game or 5pm Game (Show up 30 minutes before game time you can clock in. Ex: 4pm game time means you show up at 3:30pm)
- Thursdays: 4pm Game or 5pm Game (Show up 30 minutes before game time you can clock in. Ex: 4pm game time means you show up at 3:30pm)
Potential Playoffs
Top 4 Teams in League move on to Playoffs
Playoffs are single elimination
- Monday Practice 2:45pm - 4:00pm
- October 20th Tuesday: First Round Playoffs
- October 22nd Thursday: Championship Game (if you win first round of playoffs
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all tryouts, practices, games, and end-of-season events for three teams per site (Varsity, JV, Girls)
- Design practices focusing on fundamentals, conditioning, strategy, and teamwork
- Foster an inclusive and encouraging team culture for both boys and girls
- Supervise athletes from arrival through clean-up and departure
- Communicate regularly with athletes, families, and Club leadership via TeamSnap
- Travel with team to away games and help host home games on-site
- Support equipment management and game-day setup/breakdown
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Previous coaching or flag football experience preferred
- Ability to lead large groups of middle school students with positivity and structure
- Strong communication and reliability are essential
- Must pass background check and be available for the full season
Program Highlights:
