MATRIX is seeking a detail-oriented Structural Drafter / Designer to support engineering and project teams in the preparation, review, and coordination of design drawings focused on reinforced concrete structures for hydroelectric infrastructure projects. This role will work with internal engineers and external design consultants to develop drawings that meet project requirements and drafting standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBLITIES:

Develop structural drawings for reinforced concrete structures, including monolithic concrete structures, foundations, walls, slabs, piers, equipment supports, and other heavy civil infrastructure components.

Prepare reinforcement plans, elevations, sections, details, bar lists, and schedules in accordance with project requirements and applicable detailing standards

Revise and update drawings based on internal feedback, engineering markups, and field conditions.

Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with development of exhibits and figures in support of construction and permit applications.

Coordinate drawing revisions with engineering, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain consistent and accurate design documentation.

Ensure all designs adhere to applicable codes, standards, and company guidelines
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in developing drawings for reinforced concrete structures

Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam

Proficient in US National CAD Standards

Solid understanding of drafting principles, construction drawings, and design coordination

Ability to interpret engineering plans, specifications, and technical documents

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in hydroelectric, power generation, or industrial projects

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Design, Engineering Technology, or a related field

Experience working in a fast-paced, project-based environment
