Pay: $40,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
Job description:
Overview
R&R Legal Advisors LLC is seeking a sharp, driven Paralegal with a desire to help others to join our fast-growing, dynamic team.
Would you love to help business owners in the community build and protect the legacy they envision? Are you self-motivated, easy to get along with, and detailed-oriented? If so, you might be "THE ONE" we are seeking.
We are a client-centered entrepreneurial law firm on a mission to empower business owners to make strategic legal decisions to protect their present and future. We seek to understand our clients, their vision, and their concerns beyond the current transaction or dispute. We are a small team, which means you will need to figure some things out on your own and be a problem solver so we can effectively deliver legal services for our clients.
We strive to be a true team and look out for one another, by providing the training and support each individual needs to thrive as a professional. We are not your traditional law firm and value - and expect - each team member to contribute in their own unique way.
Responsibilities
- Legal Research - Conduct legal research to support attorneys in case preparation. Summarize legal articles, regulations, and precedents for use in legal documents.
- Document Drafting - Prepare and draft legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, contacts, and affidavits. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all legal documents.
- Case Management - Assist in managing and organizing case files, documents, and exhibits. Maintain an organized system for tracking important dates and deadlines.
- Client Interaction - Communicate with clients to obtain necessary information and updates. Assist in drafting client correspondence and maintaining positive client relationships.
- Court Filings and Proceedings - Prepare and file legal documents with courts and administrative bodies. Coordinate and schedule transaction closings, court appearances, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and hearings.
- Administrative Support - Assist in daily office needs and manage general administrative activities, including scheduling appointments, meetings, and events; maintaining a filing system, both physical and digital; monitoring and ordering office supplies and equipment as needed; assisting with technical issues and handling calls with vendors to troubleshoot issues.
Qualifications
- Proven effective experience as a paralegal, or in a similar role; bonus if the experience is from landlord-tenant cases and/or real estate transactions
- Strong attention to detail and organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Must be willing and able to work in a fast-paced office setting
- A team player who is looking for a long-term position with growth potential and appreciates transparency and investments in professional development and mentorship
Skills and experience are required, appreciated, and valued, but personality, character, and integrity will be paramount considerations.
This position offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience and the opportunity for professional growth within a dynamic legal environment.
