Job Summary:
The Company Van Driver transports passengers to their destinations in a timely and safe manner. Participates in the routine cleaning and servicing of company vehicle as needed. Interacts with passengers in friendly and respectful manner and is expected to represent the organization well to the community while preforming driving duties.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
● Operates company van or other company vehicle to and from various destinations
● Ensure passengers are delivered and picked up in a timely and safe manner and interacts with them in a friendly and helpful way
● Observes legal and defensive driving practices and assures compliance with all traffic transportation laws, codes, and regulations
● Maintain log of driving and vehicle maintenance. Notifies supervisor of any issues or concerns
● Performs other general job duties assigned by Direct Supervisor.
Positional Requirements & Qualifications:
● Education & Experience:
o HS Education or GED equivalent
o Valid Texas Driver License and clean driving record
o Experience working with nursing homes or special needs education programs is beneficial but not required
● Skills & Abilities:
○ Strong driving skills and a clean drivers record
○ Effective time-management
○ Communication and customer service skills
○ Self-Motivated
● Clear background check and drug/alcohol screening
Essential Physical Functions:
● Assist passengers in and out of company vehicles
● Lift up to 50 pounds
● Bending, stooping, walking
Pay: $17.00 per hour
