As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic Business Development professional with strong industry connections to help expand our client base and drive revenue growth.
Position Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for generating new business, building strategic partnerships, and representing Design Mode within the events industry. This is an outside sales role ideal for someone who is well-connected, proactive, and thrives on relationship-building and closing deals.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities within the events industry
- Build and maintain strong relationships with event planners, venues, brands, and corporate clients
- Represent Design Mode at networking events, industry functions, and client meetings
- Manage and grow a robust sales pipeline from prospecting through closing
- Collaborate with internal teams on proposals, pricing, and creative strategy
- Track sales activity and maintain accurate pipeline reporting
- Contribute to expansion efforts into new markets and regions over time
Qualifications
- Established network within the events industry (planners, venues, agencies, hospitality, or related fields)
- Proven success in business development, outside sales, or a client-facing revenue role
- Strong understanding of event production, design, or hospitality environments
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and drive results
- Professional presence and ability to represent a premium brand
- Willingness to attend events and work flexible hours as needed
Compensation
- Base salary plus commission
