Mission University offers unique Applied Practice Experiences (APE) that satisfy elective and internship requirements for students and professionals by partnering with humanitarian and community-based programs in global settings.
Students from any college or university collaborate with international nonprofit organizations and governmental agencies to satisfy credit requirements at their home university. Our mission is to improve health and wellbeing in communities with the greatest need through hands-on experiences which contribute to meaningful projects that create lasting impact.
Mission University is seeking motivated college students to participate in a structured APE’s designed for those pursuing internship or elective credit. This experiential learning opportunity integrates computer literacy & introductory website design with behavior modification and conflict resolution skill-building for middle school-aged learners.
This is an ideal placement for students in education, psychology, public health, social work, counseling, or related disciplines seeking meaningful, hands-on experience.
Multiple internships/APE’s are available
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student
- Field of study in education, psychology, public health, social work, or related area preferred
- Interest in youth development and applied learning environments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain professionalism
Academic Credit
- Eligible for internship or elective credit (subject to your institution’s approval)
- Mission University will provide documentation, supervision, and evaluation as required
Duration & Commitment
- Flexible 6–8 week placement aligned with academic terms
- Part-time schedule (hours coordinated with program needs and academic requirements)
