Host / Hostess – Sopapillas

Sopapillas is a locally owned, independent restaurant celebrating 15 years of serving New Mexico–inspired cuisine with warmth, flavor, and hospitality. We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and upbeat Host/Hostess to join our team and be the first smiling face our guests see when they walk through the door.
Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome guests with genuine hospitality
- Manage reservations and walk-ins using our seating system
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Maintain an organized waitlist during peak hours
- Communicate clearly with servers and managers about table status and guest flow
- Answer phones, take to-go orders, and provide general information about the restaurant
- Ensure the host stand and entry area remain clean and welcoming
- Assist with light side work as needed to support the team
Qualifications
- Outgoing and personable with excellent communication skills
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Ability to stay calm and organized in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable, punctual, and a true team player
- Weekend and evening availability required
- Previous restaurant or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
