Join Our Team!The Pineapple School is looking for a caring, dependable, and energetic Lead Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This role focuses on creating a fun, engaging, and nurturing learning environment where children can grow through play, movement, music, and hands-on activities.Lead Teachers are expected to confidently lead the classroom while working closely with Assistant Teachers and other staff to maintain a positive, respectful, and team-oriented environment. Lead Teachers should demonstrate strong classroom leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities:
- Executing a developmentally appropriate program in line with the goals and philosophy of The Pineapple School.
- Providing nurturing behavior to the infants by picking them up, holding and rocking them, and playing with them on the floor throughout the day.
- Teaching and interacting with the babies in Spanish, exposing them to songs, finger plays, music, and dance.
- Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans, ensuring needed materials and supplies are available in advance.
- Ensuring the classroom is safe, organized, and stimulating.
- Interacting with parents daily, regularly reporting positive observations of each baby, and providing daily progress reports.
- Safely lifting, carrying, and holding infants (up to 25 pounds) for extended periods as needed.
- Sitting on the floor with infants to attend to their needs and actively engage in play.
- Maintaining classroom records (including assessments), cleanliness, and orderliness.
- Observing and documenting infant development and designing individualized learning plans.
- Assisting with diaper changing and hygiene.
- Helping in other areas of the center as needed.
- Attending ongoing staff development activities, including our evening monthly staff meeting, and maintaining the required level of training hours (at present, 24 hours annually from the start of employment, current CPR & First Aid certification, annual child abuse training; other requirements apply for caregivers with less than two years of experience in a licensed childcare center in Texas) with documentation.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous early childhood education experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lead a classroom while working well with others.
- Passion for working with young children.
- Spanish is required.
- English communication skills are preferred, as some communication with families may take place in English.
- Ability to actively engage with children indoors and outdoors daily.
