The Lifestyle Schedule:
Mondays: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Tuesdays through Fridays: 9:15 AM – 1:30 PM
No nights, no weekends, and no holidays. Staff is also off during school breaks (spring, thanksgiving, winter, and summer). Work days match a school calendar.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facility Opening and Security: Unlocking security locks, unchaining gates, and security equipment at the start of the shift. Locking latches chaining equipment, and fully securing area at the close.
- Student Service: Quickly calculate costs and ring up cash or credit transactions during high-volume breakfast and lunch breaks. Memorizing prices and manual calculating at the register will be required in order to clear through line in time; students can only purchase food during designated breaks.
- Operations and Logistics: Learn school's schedules, assist with inventory, occasional local travel may be requested to pick up supplies.
- Food Prep & Handling: Perform basic food preparation including sandwiches, salads, and snacks.
- Stocking & Organization: Maintain well-stocked and organized concession stand and cash register.
- Clean and Safety: Maintain a clean work environment, adhere to food safety standards.
- Student Interaction: Guide and assist students in professional, kind, positive manner.
Physical Requirements:
- Manual Dexterity & Fine Motor Skills: Constantly use hands, wrists, and fingers to lock and unlock padlocks, latches; assemble and disassemble concession and equipment parts, handle keys and chains, operate cash registers, hand held smart devices, and perform precise food preparation tasks.
- Mobility & Movement: Ability to frequent move, traverse, and position self throughout the concession stand and food service areas -including in confined spaces- to serve students, stock merchandise, and manage equipment.
- Standing and Reaching: Regularly stand for extended periods and frequently bend, stoop, crouch and reach for supplies or cleaning.
- Lifting and Carrying: Frequently lift, push, pull and transport items of up to 40lbs (e.g., beverage cases, food boxes, kitchen appliances, and heavy security equipment).
- Compact Workspace: This role operates in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with limited counter and movement space, requiring comfort and efficiency working in a small area.
Other Requirements:
- Valid California Driver’s License for occasional local supply runs.
- Ability to pass school district pre-screening and background checks
- Ability to obtain a California Food Handler Card within 30 days of hire.
