Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Mortgage Processor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the loan processing cycle, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, and providing exceptional service to clients. The Mortgage Processor will work closely with loan officers and underwriters to facilitate smooth transactions while adhering to Fair Housing regulations and company policies.
Duties
- Review and analyze loan applications for completeness and accuracy.
- Process mortgage applications, including FNMA guidelines and TILA regulations.
- Conduct credit analysis and assess borrower qualifications.
- Collaborate with loan officers to gather necessary documentation and resolve any issues.
- Prepare contracts, disclosures, and other necessary paperwork for loan processing.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations throughout the mortgage process.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions in the mortgage servicing system.
- Utilize basic math skills for calculations related to loans, escrow, and other financial aspects.
- Perform 10 key typing for data entry tasks efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with clients, underwriters, and other stakeholders to ensure timely processing of loans.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in loan processing or a related role within financial services or banking.
- Familiarity with underwriting processes and mortgage servicing practices.
- Knowledge of FNMA guidelines, TILA regulations, and Fair Housing laws is essential.
- Strong credit analysis skills with the ability to evaluate borrower creditworthiness.
- Previous experience as a loan officer is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple files simultaneously.
- Proficient in basic math calculations relevant to mortgage processing tasks.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30,000.00 - $59,038.01 per year
