Position Overview
We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and energetic team member to work at our front counter while also preparing coffee and café beverages. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service, accurately taking orders and processing payments, preparing coffee and espresso drinks, and helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment, enjoys interacting with customers, and is willing to help wherever needed.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and provide friendly, professional service.
- Take customer orders accurately at the register and through the POS system.
- Process cash, credit card, gift card, and other payments accurately.
- Answer customer questions regarding menu items, ingredients, and daily specials.
- Prepare hot and iced coffee, espresso drinks, cold brew, teas, and other café beverages.
- Learn proper preparation of espresso-based beverages, including lattes, cappuccinos, americanos, and specialty drinks.
- Maintain proper portioning and consistency for all beverages.
- Package takeout and online orders accurately.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are complete and delivered to customers efficiently.
- Restock cups, lids, coffee, milk, condiments, napkins, utensils, and other front-counter supplies.
- Maintain a clean and organized coffee station, counter, dining area, and customer service area.
- Clean and sanitize coffee equipment and work surfaces throughout the shift.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Monitor inventory and notify management when coffee, beverages, paper goods, or other supplies are running low.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department requirements.
- Help answer phones and assist customers with takeout orders when necessary.
- Assist other team members during busy periods.
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude even during high-volume service.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant, café, barista, cashier, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
- Barista experience is a plus; training will be provided.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Comfortable using a POS/register system.
- Ability to accurately handle cash and payments.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn the menu and café beverage program.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift approximately 30–40 pounds when necessary.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays during the busy season may be required.
What We Are Looking For
We want someone who understands that the front counter sets the tone for the customer's experience. The right person will be friendly, efficient, clean, accurate, and attentive while keeping service moving during busy periods.
This is a hands-on position. Everyone helps where needed, whether that means making a latte, taking an order, packaging food, restocking supplies, wiping down the counter, or helping a customer.

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
