Position Summary
We are seeking a Entry Level Field Service Engineer to join our growing semiconductor equipment support team. This position is designed for recent engineering graduates and early-career professionals interested in developing hands-on technical expertise within the semiconductor industry.
The successful candidate will work directly with advanced manufacturing equipment at customer facilities, assisting with system installations, equipment optimization, preventive maintenance programs, and technical troubleshooting. Comprehensive training and mentorship will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the deployment, commissioning, and qualification of semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
- Assist in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and system-level issues while working alongside experienced engineers.
- Replace components, perform equipment adjustments, and verify proper system operation.
- Record service activities, maintenance actions, and technical findings accurately.
- Adhere to all customer safety requirements, cleanroom procedures, and company policies.
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to communicate project status and technical recommendations.
- Participate in equipment upgrades, performance improvements, and operational support activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Practical experience working with mechanical assemblies, electronic systems, instrumentation, or technical equipment.
- Ability to travel to customer locations as required.
- Strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies and follow detailed technical procedures.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between customer sites.
- Capable of working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or lab experience involving equipment, machinery, or manufacturing tools.
- Familiarity with motors, sensors, pneumatics, robotics, or industrial control systems.
- Experience working in semiconductor, electronics, cleanroom, or advanced manufacturing environments.
- Understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and manufacturing workflows.
- Previous exposure to equipment installation, field service, maintenance, or technical support functions.
- Experience interpreting electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, or technical documentation.
