Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Lead Teacher to inspire and guide young children on their educational journey. In this role, you will develop engaging curriculum plans, implement individualized learning strategies, and collaborate with families and fellow professionals to create a nurturing classroom environment. Your passion for early childhood development and special education will help children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Duties
- Lead classroom activities that promote literacy, math, communication skills, and social-emotional development for children with diverse needs
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with educational standards and individual IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
- Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques tailored for students with disabilities and neurodevelopmental disorders
- Collaborate closely with speech therapists, behavioral health specialists, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation of student development, assessments, and progress reports for parent-teacher communication
- Adapt instructional modifications and accommodations to meet the unique needs of each student
- Foster an inclusive environment that supports autism spectrum disorders (ASD), deaf education, and early intervention strategies
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood or elementary school settings, especially those with disabilities or developmental delays
- Strong knowledge of childhood development, special education law, IEP processes, and behavioral therapy techniques
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated classroom management skills with a focus on behavior management for students with special needs
- Experience integrating educational technology into lesson planning to enhance learning outcomes
- Certification or training in speech therapy, deaf education, autism spectrum disorders support, or related fields is preferred but not required
- Passionate about mentoring young learners and committed to creating a supportive learning environment
