In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional service while supporting clinical staff with essential medical tasks. Duties
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and facilitate smooth check-in and check-out processes using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Collect vital signs
- Phlebotomy strongly preferred (willing to train)
- Assist healthcare providers with clinical procedures such as administering medications and assistant with procedure set-up (pelvic exams, hormone pellets)
- Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and follow-up communications to optimize clinic flows
- Assisting with prescription and insurance communication as needed
- Ensure the clinic environment remains clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Light office cleaning
- Occasional out of office tasks (local post office runs)
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support principles.
- Experience working in clinics, hospital medicine units, urgent care centers strongly preferred
- Proficiency with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions such as intake processing and appointment management.
- Ability to perform clinical tasks including vital signs measurement, medication administration, phlebotomy (preferred), and basic inpatient/outpatient procedures.
- Excellent patient service skills
- Strong knowledge of electronic usage: texting, e-faxing, EHR, etc
- Strong preference for a medical assistant
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
