Qualifications
- Food serving experience preferred
- Knowledge and aptitude in working with persons suffering from Alzheimer's Disease and other related disorders
- Sensitivity toward impaired elderly and caregivers
- Ability to work with volunteers
- Ability to work closely with others and take Initiative/responsibility
- Demonstrates a warm and caring attitude towards others
- Working conditions are normal for an Adult daycare environment
- Must be ok with cleaning up after people
Responsibilities
- Assist in the serving of food for cooking.
- Server foods and prepare beverages, including, but not limited to, coffee, salads, and desserts, soups, oats according to instruction
- Arranges food and beverage items for the purpose of serving them to participants in an efficient manner.
- Cleans utensils, equipment, and storage, food preparation and serving areas (e.g., pots, pans, baking sheets, steam tables, student trays, work areas, floors, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining required sanitary conditions.
- Keep kitchen and floor area clean
- Serve food and prepare beverage items and provide to participants in a timely manner
- Ensure food safety and security of the participants' meals and respond appropriately to emergencies.
- Assists with all aspects of kitchen prep, kitchen cleaning, kitchen organizing, kitchen ordering request, serving quick and efficiently.
- Assists participants with Activities of Daily Living, including, but not limited to, food and beverage serving, and eating.
- Accurate and complete record keeping (Kitchen logs)
- Actively participate in the multidisciplinary team, and advocate on behalf of participants and their families.
- Establish and maintain positive, professional relationships with participants, caregivers and staff

- Part time 6 hours a day Monday-Friday 7:30am -1:30 8:00am-2:00 PM
- Job Type: Part-time, Monday to Friday *some Saturdays*
- Pay: $18.00 -$20.00 per hour
- Expected hours: 30-36 per week
- Work Location: In person
- Bilingual Spanish- required
