Duties
- Perform a wide range of hair services including cutting, coloring and styling with precision and artistry
- Consult with clients to understand their desired looks and recommend suitable treatments based on hair type and face shape
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations, including sterilizing tools and workstations
- Apply advanced techniques to meet diverse client needs
- Recommend retail products like hair care items, styling tools, and cosmetics to enhance client results
Skills
- Experience in hair styling, coloring (including color theory)
- Knowledge of sanitation practices for tools, equipment, and workspaces to ensure a safe environment
- Strong communication skills to effectively understand client needs and provide personalized recommendations
- Expertise in barbering techniques including straight razor shaves and hair threading for diverse clientele
- Leadership qualities that support team mentoring and front desk responsibilities
- Excellent customer service skills that foster loyalty and positive client experiences
