Overview
Join our dynamic bakery team as a Bakery Associate and become a vital part of creating delicious baked goods that delight our customers! This position is responsible for accurately preparing and mixing doughs, batters, fillings, icings, and other bakery products.
Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of baked goods, including pastries, cakes, and bread, following established recipes and standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and pastry tools safely and efficiently
- Accurately weigh, measure, and prepare ingredients for each recipe.
- Mix doughs, batters, icings, fillings, and other bakery products according to established procedures.
- Package baked items carefully to maintain freshness and presentation for retail sale or catering orders
- Communicate with bakers, decorators, management, and other production staff regarding product needs and production priorities.
- Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to food safety standards and sanitation protocols
- Assist with food handling tasks, ensuring proper storage and rotation of ingredients
- Support high-volume production during busy periods while maintaining quality control standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food production, baking, or pastry preparation is highly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to health regulations necessary
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in baked goods quality
- Excellent customer service skills for engaging with customers when needed
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and managing inventory
- Catering or restaurant experience is a plus, demonstrating ability to work independently and efficiently in fast-paced environments
- High-volume production experience and culinary expertise are advantageous for success in this role
