We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Land Acquisition Associate to join our team. The Land Acquisition Associate is an entry-level role responsible for identifying scattered, spot, and infill lot opportunities for the Company. This position continuously monitors the MLS and other listing services to source individual buildable lots within existing communities and established areas, compiling property data and building a pipeline of opportunities for the Land Acquisition team to evaluate. It requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage a high volume of listings across multiple markets.
This role offers foundational exposure to the land acquisition process within a growing homebuilding organization and serves as a strong stepping-stone toward more senior land acquisition roles.
Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities:
· Continuously scour the MLS and other listing services to identify potential scattered and spot lot acquisition opportunities within target markets
· Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective scattered and spot lots, tracking key details such as location, lot size, zoning, and asking price
· Compile and organize property data into standardized formats for review by the Land Acquisition team
· Conduct basic research on comparable lot sales and pricing trends
· Communicate with brokers and sellers to gather initial property information
· Prepare summary reports and present potential scattered lot opportunities to leadership
· Maintain organized records of prospective opportunities and outreach activity
· Provide general administrative support to the Land Acquisition team as needed, including data entry, filing, scheduling, and other day-to-day tasks
Education/Experience/Skill Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; this is an entry-level position and candidates with little to no prior experience are encouraged to apply
- Knowledge of Land / Permitting / Construction / Purchasing / Homebuilding processes preferred
- Strong emphasis on quality of service and follow-up
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers
- Strong relationship, organization, planning and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and comfortable navigating MLS and other online listing platforms
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
