Responsibilities
- Assist groomers with bathing, drying, brushing, and coat styling of dogs of all sizes and breeds
- Safely handle animals during grooming procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety through proper restraint techniques
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, including sanitation of tools and workspaces
- Perform pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, and basic coat maintenance as directed
- Handle heavy lifting when necessary to assist with larger dogs or equipment setup
- Observe animals for signs of stress or health issues during grooming sessions and report concerns promptly
Qualifications
- Prior experience in dog handling, pet grooming, or animal care is highly desirable; veterinary technician or assistant experience is a plus
- Knowledge of animal restraint techniques and pet coat styling is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when required
- Familiarity with kennel operations, pet sitting, or veterinary environments enhances your suitability for this role
- Passion for animal welfare combined with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills
- Reliable work ethic with attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
Excellent Time management skills are a must. We start at 8am until finished (no later than 2pm) No Sundays
