Job Summary:
The Card Services Specialist supports the daily execution and administration of the Credit Union’s debit and credit card programs. This role acts as an operational bridge between members, branch staff, merchants, and the Credit Union’s external card processor, to deliver a seamless payment experience for card transactions.
Essential Funtions and Basic Duties
· Performs posting duties, verify totals, posts daily card processing entries, and posts and balances card processing exceptions.
· Research, processes, tracks, and resolve cardholder disputes, including chargebacks and member account adjustments such as provisional credit, final credit, or final debit.
· Follows up on represented chargebacks and, when appropriate, files arbitration before writing off a transaction or debiting the member’s account.
· Completes assigned records, reports, and member letters related to provisional credit, final credit, or final debit.
· Provides analysis and assistance on chargebacks, compliance matters, and arbitration cases.
· Assists in keeping card-related general ledger accounts clean and current.
· Maintains and updates files as required.
· Assists with ordering new cards, replacement cards, and monthly card reissues.
· Research and resolve ATM-related problems.
· Pulls network settlement reports.
· Corrects deposit discrepancies in a timely manner.
· Research and posts ATM withdrawal outages.
· Prepares and mails adjustment letters to inform members of corrections.
· Performs ATM functions in accordance with department policies and procedures.
· Obtains and conveys information as needed and composes correspondence as needed.
· Resolves or refers to questions and requests promptly and courteously.
· Keeps members informed of Credit Union services and policies.
· Maintains and projects the Credit Union’s professional reputation.
· Maintains confidentiality.
· Assists branches and related departments as needed, answers questions, and resolves problems as needed.
· Keeps management informed of area activities and any significant problems.
· Attend and participate in meetings as required.
· Ensure the work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
· Completes special projects as assigned.
· Stays abreast of changes in card processing operations and policies.
Minimum Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Working knowledge of card processing procedures and requirements.
· One to two years of related experience preferred.

· Excellent communication and public relations skills.
· Solid math skills; able to analyze accounts.
· Attentive to detail.
· Well organized.
· Ability to assist others.
· Able to use a PC, calculator, phone, and all related business equipment.
Pay: $18.51 - $26.36 per hour
