American Traveler is hiring an RN - Operating Room for a 13-week neurosurgery assignment requiring Level 1 Trauma experience and an active IL RN license.

Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
-
Neurosurgical patient population including stereotactic neurosurgical cases, neuro spine cases, and craniotomy cases with tumor resections
-
Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Weekend rotation possible

On-call included in contract, one 8-hour on-call shift per week when needed

Local candidates accepted at the same rate

Active IL RN license required in hand

Nursys report required at time of consideration, pulled within the last 2 weeks

Level 1 Trauma experience preferred

Neurosurgery nursing experience required

Scrub experience required

Less than 2 years of experience considered

Epic EMR experience preferred; candidates with more than one year of Epic experience can bypass instructor-led training and start on any date

Care for patients undergoing complex neurosurgical procedures including tumor resections and spine surgeries

ASAP start preferred

RTO limited to no more than 3 days, with no time off requests during the first or last week of the contract

Former staff at University of Chicago Medicine, PRN, or Ingalls locations must have been separated for at least 7 months before returning as a traveler

Completion of facility-required training modules, which are non-billable and may range from 8 to 20 hours depending on specialty

Modules may be completed remotely or during orientation, and annually thereafter
