Ark Animal Hospital is looking for a licensed Registered Veterinary Technician to join our medical team. Our RVTs play an essential, hands‑on role in the way we deliver patient care, support our veterinarians, and guide clients through wellness and sick‑visit needs. We primarily see dogs and cats but have recently started to work with exotics. Those with experience handling exotics are also encouraged to apply!
Work/Life Balance: Our full‑time employees work 30–40 hours per week with one weekday off and are scheduled to work every other Saturday. There are no after‑hour emergencies and no on‑call responsibilities. Family and personal time are important to us, and we believe protecting that balance is essential for long‑term sustainability in the veterinary profession.
Fun Caseload: Advanced diagnostics, treatments, and progressive soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries are all available. We are constantly looking for ways to improve our gold standard medicine and enjoy getting to work up the challenging cases instead of simply referring them. Want to learn ultrasound or how to do epidurals? Our tech team does that!
Position Requirements:
- Must be a licensed RVT in the state of Missouri
- Strong communication skills and a professional, team‑focused mindset
- Commitment to excellent patient care and client education
What You’ll Do:
- Support veterinarians during exams, treatments, diagnostics, and surgical procedures
- Provide skilled nursing care to hospitalized and outpatient patients
- Assist with anesthesia monitoring, dental procedures, and laboratory testing
- Maintain accurate medical records and uphold hospital standards
- Contribute to a collaborative medical team that values compassion and quality medicine
