Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Sous Chef/Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and contribute to overseeing daily kitchen operations. This role combines hands-on food preparation with strategic management, ensuring exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced, busy environment. Responsibilities
- Supervise all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation, to ensure consistency and quality.
- Manage inventory control and food ordering processes to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
- Lead and motivate the culinary team through effective shift management, training, and mentorship to foster a collaborative work environment.
- Oversee dietary department operations, ensuring compliance with dietary restrictions and special requests for guests.
- Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring seamless execution from setup to service delivery.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and sanitation protocols across all kitchen areas.
- Collaborate with restaurant management on menu planning, pricing strategies, and new dish development to keep offerings innovative and appealing.
Qualifications
- 5 years minimum in fast paced kitchens, strong culinary skills in food production and presentation.
- Supervising experience in a high-volume restaurant or catering environment.
- Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and dietary accommodations.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on team management and staff development.
- Familiarity with inventory management, cost control, and kitchen operations.
- Experience in catering, or large-scale event coordination is a plus.
Pay: $52,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
