Key Responsibilities and Duties:
· Responsible for electrical and mechanical repair and preventative maintenance of facility and plant equipment.
· Follow all safety, guarding, lockout/tagout, and risk protocols during execution of tasks.
· Maintain a clean working environment upon completion of assigned projects.
· Improve machine efficiency.
· Repair malfunctioning production equipment and facility equipment, including structural
· Install machinery systems
· Perform electrical systems maintenance
· Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
· Must be able to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic drawings
· Must be able to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and pneumatic issues, utilizing prints, meters as needed
· Must be able to perform basic troubleshooting of VFD’s, and Servo units. In-depth knowledge and abilities a plus
· Welding abilities required, fabrication a plus
· Perform maintenance on all production and facility equipment
· Must be able to assume a leadership role as needed
· Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies using Computerized Maintenance Management system
· Use the Computerized Maintenance Management system to create and track work orders for all repairs and project work
Experience, Educational and Technical Qualifications
Employee should possess a sense of urgency, accountability, business ethics, professionalism, and self-motivation. Understanding of mechanical systems/ electrical systems.
Required Skills
· Understanding of safe work practices.
· Must be able to take direction and work well with others.
· Must be able to work under deadline pressure.
· Must be able to react to change productively and to handle other tasks as assigned
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
· Experience in a Manufacturing facility is required.
· Minimum of five years’ experience as maintenance technician
· Minimum of five years’ experience as electrical maintenance technician (or combination of mech and elect)
· Minimum of one years’ experience troubleshooting PLC’s and drives
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 50+lbs.
The job requires a great deal of walking.
