Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist with food prep to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Cook menu items with precision, following established recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in accordance with food safety regulations
- Support kitchen staff by handling food handling tasks such as slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients
- Assist with plating and garnishing dishes to ensure visual appeal and quality standards are met
- Follow all safety procedures related to knife skills, cooking techniques, and food storage
- Contribute to maintaining a positive team environment by collaborating effectively with kitchen and service staff
- Ability to work independently and remain on task.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting, preferably as a line cook or prep cook
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in basic cooking techniques
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food presentation
- Familiarity with dietary department standards or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Ability to work solo and efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
