Summary
Carolina’s Home Medical Equipment is seeking a RESNA-certified Assistive Technology Professional / ATP to join our Complex Rehab Technology team. This role is responsible for evaluating patient needs, recommending appropriate mobility and seating solutions, coordinating equipment trials and fittings, and working closely with referral sources, clinicians, patients, caregivers, and internal team members to deliver high quality assistive technology solutions. This position requires travel throughout the service area, so a valid driver’s license and the ability to safely operate a vehicle are required.
The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of complex rehab equipment, seating and positioning, mobility products, documentation requirements, and patient centered care. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, follow through, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced DME/CRT environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients for appropriate complex rehab, mobility, seating, and positioning equipment.
- Measure, configure, and recommend assistive technology solutions based on patient needs.
- Work with clinicians, referral sources, caregivers, and internal staff to coordinate equipment selection, trials, delivery, and fitting.
- Ensure equipment meets patient needs for fit, function, safety, and quality.
- Assist with repairs, adjustments, and ongoing equipment support as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow company, payer, and regulatory requirements.
- Support marketing and relationship building efforts with hospitals, seating clinics, facilities, therapy providers, and other referral sources.
- Participate in training, quality improvement, and other company initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- RESNA ATP certification required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Must be able to safely operate a company vehicle and travel to patient homes, facilities, hospitals, clinics, and referral sources as needed.
- 2–4 years of DME, home medical equipment, or complex rehab experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mobility, seating, positioning, and assistive technology products.
- Ability to communicate professionally with patients, caregivers, clinicians, referral sources, and team members.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and interruptions.
- Basic computer skills, including word processing and documentation systems.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellent patient care.
Physical Requirements
This position may require sitting, standing, walking, using hands to handle equipment, and occasionally lifting or moving heavy equipment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
