The Assistant Roofer II role is designed for individuals who have developed foundational roofing skills and are ready to take on more responsibility while continuing to grow toward a Journeyman role.
- Perform roofing installation tasks with increasing independence
- Install roofing components including insulation, coverboard, membranes, flashing, and accessories
- Support layout, staging, and production activities
- Operate tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Identify and communicate basic installation concerns to leadership
- Assist with training and supporting newer crew members
- Maintain quality standards and productivity expectations
- Follow all safety procedures and Stop-Work expectations
- Commercial roofing experience preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of roofing materials and installation methods
- Ability to read basic drawings and instructions
- Ability to work safely at heights and in outdoor environments
