Retail Mattress Sales Associate
Lexington and Georgetown, KY
Mattress Overstock is hiring a full-time Retail Mattress Sales Associate to float between our Lexington and Georgetown stores. This is a sales role, not a cashier-only job. Mattress stores do not get a nonstop line of customers all day. The right person understands that the few customers who do come in are high-intent shoppers, and the job is to greet them well, ask good questions, build trust, explain options clearly, and close business.
- Pay and upside - $16.00 per hour - Full-time schedule,
- 40 hours per week
- Overtime available when the business needs it and it is approved

What you will do:
- Work scheduled shifts at our Lexington and Georgetown stores
- Greet customers quickly and make them feel comfortable
- Learn our mattress brands, product differences, financing options, and promotions
- Ask questions, recommend the right mattress, and guide customers toward a purchase
- Follow up with leads, quotes, and undecided shoppers
- Keep the showroom clean, organized, and ready for customers
- Handle basic point-of-sale tasks accurately
- Communicate clearly with managers and teammates
- Help maintain displays and assist with showroom tasks as needed
What we need from you:
- Reliable transportation to both Lexington and Georgetown
- Strong attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work a full-time retail schedule, including weekends when scheduled
- Comfortable working alone in a store for parts of the day
- A real interest in selling, earning, and improving
- Coachable attitude and willingness to learn product knowledge
- Professional communication with customers and coworkers
- Ability to stand, walk the showroom, and help with normal retail showroom duties
- This job is important to the rest of the team. We run a lean schedule, so when someone is scheduled, we depend on them to be there.
