Job Opening Summary
The candidate for this position must be knowledgeable of CPT & ICD-10-CM code sets and should be able to interpret medical records properly to capture codes accurately to seek reimbursement, adhering to fiscal, state, and payor-mandated guidelines.
Should possess ability to escalate discrepancies and/or deficiencies as /when observed to supervisor and/or clinical team by initiating provider-query process.
Should be willing to learn and work across specialties and departments.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications like Excel and Word will be added advantage.
Should possess quick learning skills and strong work ethic who can be a reliable team player.
Job Opening Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- CIC,CPMA, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA, CPC, CPC-A or coding program certificate preferred. CIC,CPMA, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA, CPC, CPC-A required within six months of hire.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy and physiology required.
- Minimum 6 months of medical coding experience required.**
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- CIC,CPMA, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA, CPC, CPC-A or coding program certificate preferred. CIC,CPMA, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA, CPC, CPC-A required within six months of hire.
Salary Range: Commensurate to experience
Freshers - Hourly: $18.00 - $19.00
1-2 years’ Experience - Hourly: $20.00
Minimum 2 years’ experience in multi-specialty coding – Hourly: $21 and above
Hybrid Hours (Days Working at the Office and Days Working from Home)

Salary: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour Commensurate to experience
