As a Cook at Brixx Wood Fired Pizza + Craft Bar, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality pizzas and menu items in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role involves operating a wood-fired oven, preparing fresh ingredients, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring timely and consistent food production. The ideal candidate is passionate about cooking, works well under pressure, and takes pride in delivering excellent food quality and customer satisfaction. Prepare and cook woodfired pizzas according to restaurant recipes and quality standards.

Operate and maintain a woodfired oven, ensuring proper temperature control and cooking consistency.

Stretch, top, and finish pizzas efficiently during highvolume service periods.

Prepare ingredients including dough, sauces, cheeses, meats, and vegetables.

Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control to maintain consistency.

Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times.

Assist with daily kitchen setup, prep work, and endofshift cleaning duties.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of cooking stations, refrigeration units, and storage areas.

Rotate stock and ingredients using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.

Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and frontofhouse team to ensure timely order completion.

Manage multiple orders simultaneously in a fastpaced environment.

Help monitor inventory levels and notify management of lowstock items.

Ensure proper handling and storage of food products to minimize waste.

Assist with menu preparation, specials, and seasonal pizza offerings as needed.

Adhere to company policies, health regulations, and safety procedures.

Train and support new kitchen team members when required.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Previous experience as a pizza cook, line cook, or woodfired oven cook preferred.

Knowledge of dough preparation and fermentation techniques is a plus.

Ability to work in a hightemperature, fastpaced kitchen environment.

Strong teamwork, communication, and timemanagement skills.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies as needed.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Minimum 12 years of experience in a restaurant kitchen or pizza restaurant preferred.

Experience operating a woodfired pizza oven or similar highheat cooking equipment is a plus.

Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.

Understanding of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling practices.

Ability to prepare dough, sauces, and pizza toppings consistently and efficiently.
