Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a smooth dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently.
- Maintain an organized waitlist during peak hours, ensuring timely seating.
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, taking reservations and providing information as needed.
- Collaborate with the serving staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns with a positive attitude, enhancing guest relations.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Host/Host or in a similar food service role is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Experience in restaurant or hotel environments is a plus.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a busy setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong phone etiquette and guest services skills are essential.
