We are seeking a dependable, compassionate and skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our clinical team.
Position Summary
The CMA will primarily provide direct clinical support to our providers and patients while helping maintain efficient and organized clinical workflow. This position will be responsible for routine CMA duties including patient rooming, obtaining vital signs, assisting with procedures, administering injections, documenting patient information, and preparing patients for provider visits.
The CMA will also assist with routine administrative and operational duties as needed, including scheduling, phone calls, medical records, scanning, referrals, prior authorizations and other tasks that support the the overall operation of the practice.
The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, patient-focused, comfortable working independently and as part of team, and able to adapt to the changing needs of a busy medical office.
Key Responsibilities
- Room patients and prepare them for provider visits
- Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, medications, and other pertinent patient information.
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures and treatments.
- Administer medications and injections as needed within the scope of practice
- Perform routine clinical tasks and CMA duties as assigned
- Prepare exam rooms and ensure necessary supplies and equipment are available
- Maintain accurate documentation using EHR systems
- Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and providers professionally
- Collect and prepare specimens according to office procedures
- Assist with Occupational Medicine services and screenings
Requirements
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required
- Previous experience in both administrative and clinical medical office roles
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Provide professional, compassionate and respectful patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EHR
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Experience with insurance verification, prior authorizations, and referrals
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- Ability to use a computer and keyboard for documentation
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff

Compensation Starting at $16.00 per hour, based on experience.
