We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team and work side-by-side with our physician as a clinical partner and physician proxy, delivering high-quality patient care and supporting clinical operations.
Position Summary
The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive primary care services including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, education, and follow-up care. In collaboration with the supervising physician, the NP will help manage a shared patient panel, support care coordination, and ensure continuity of care.
This role is ideal for a clinician who values autonomy, teamwork, and long-term patient relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments including history, physical examination, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Manage acute, chronic, and preventive care needs for patients of all ages
- Prescribe medications, therapies, and durable medical equipment per scope of practice and state regulations
- Order and interpret laboratory, diagnostic, and imaging tests
- Collaborate with supervising physician for complex cases and care coordination
- Provide patient education and counseling on health promotion, disease prevention, and wellness
- Support clinical protocols, quality improvement initiatives, and care-based metrics
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
- Participate in care team meetings and contribute to practice growth and outcomes
- Serve as a physician extender/proxy to optimize provider efficiency and enhance patient access
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing with Nurse Practitioner certification (FNP preferred)
- Current and unrestricted RN and NP licensure in Michigan
- National Board Certification (AANP or ANCC)
- Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
- BLS/ACLS certification preferred
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in primary care or family practice (new graduates with strong clinical experience considered)
- Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills
- EMR proficiency and strong organizational ability
Pay: $108,081.30 - $130,162.42 per year
