Assistant coaches work with the head coach to ensure that the players, equipment and facilities are well organized. They assisant in completing the following duties:

Schedule daily practice sessions including individual and team practices

Train and prepare student athletes for sports competition

Teach skills, techniques and strategies for team play

Monitor and evaluate the performance of student athletes

Adhere to rules and policies established by the athletic department and the Virginia High School League (VHSL)

Inventory and maintain all athletic equipment and facilities
