About the Role
The successful Shipping and Receiving Associate will manage the flow of materials in and out of our facility. This role includes driving company vehicles, receiving and put-away of inventory, preparing shipments, and supporting general shop operations. The candidate who can work accurately and collaboratively will thrive in this position.
Key Job responsibilities
- Drive company trucks (manual and automatic) for deliveries and pickups.
- Verify incoming shipments and match them with receiving documents.
- Record and report damages or discrepancies to the Purchasing Manager.
- Organize and store materials and inventory in designated areas.
- Prepare materials for shipping using lists provided by the Project Manager.
- Stage materials and load trucks for outbound shipments.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform periodic inventory checks.
- Complete a full inventory annually.
- Manage and fulfill weekly shop supply requests.
- Keep storage and work areas clean and organized.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Conduct building, vehicle, and emergency lighting inspections.
- Assist with equipment maintenance and daily start-up/shutdown procedures.
- Perform general shop upkeep, including trash and recycling management.
- Use hand and power tools as needed.
- Collaborate with other trades and support team operations.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- 1+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
- Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools.
- Forklift certification (preferred).
- English language proficiency – spoken and written
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
