American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Intermediate Care Unit (Telemetry) position in Wichita, KS, requiring at least 1 year of acute care telemetry experience and active BLS and ACLS certifications.

Work setting is an Intermediate Care Unit (Telemetry) within a hospital environment
-
37-bed unit on the 3rd floor of the main building
-
Patient ratio is 1:6 general, and 1:4 for Heart Cath recovery patients
-
Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
-
13-week contract
-
Procedures performed include central line care, medication drips, Heart Cath recovery, and bubble studies
-
Equipment used includes PCA pumps, IV pumps, and chest tubes
-
EMR is Meditech; prior experience preferred but not required
-
Active KS or compact RN license required
-
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)

Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required

Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital telemetry experience required

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration

One professional reference required

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted

Prior Meditech experience is preferred
