- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient interactions, track progress, and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams.
- Educate patients on health optimization strategies, including stress management, sleep hygiene, and preventive care measures.
- Collaborate with specialists in areas such as endocrinology, cardiology, psychiatry, and other disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor patient outcomes through follow-up visits, lab testing interpretation (including medical imaging when necessary), and adjusting treatment protocols accordingly.
- Stay current with the latest research in functional medicine and related fields to continuously enhance clinical practice.
Skills
- Extensive experience with EHR systems and electronic medical records (EMR systems) for efficient documentation and care coordination.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, pathology, and medical terminology relevant to holistic health approaches.
- Proficiency in interpreting diagnostic radiology images such as CT scans or medical imaging when applicable.
- Familiarity with laboratory testing procedures including hormone panels, blood work analysis, and other diagnostic evaluations.
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments focusing on lifestyle factors influencing health outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively on complex health topics and motivate lifestyle changes.
- Experience working within outpatient settings or integrative clinics emphasizing patient-centered care.
